Any issues with the XL and non-invasive nasal CPAP in NICU. Our NICU team is trying to get us to go with 100% XL's for NICU CPAP.

We currently use Cardinal's Airlife, and older infant flows. We trialed the Viasys SiPAP, but no one was convienced of it's benefit.

Thoughts, opinions, concerns,

GJ

Chris,
In my experience the biggest drawback to CPAP on the XL is loss of flow and volume monitoring, as the Neoflow sensor is removed.
Other than that, with appropriate prongs I have not had an issue with the XL in NIV.
Not much to it IMO – hope this is of some help
